1. Businesses having agreed to operate within ordinance of VNSI-administered standards will be referred to as "Members".
2. Members must post a sign in all business locations containing the following:

Member ID and classification information will be provided by a VNSI representative.
3. Members of VNSI must keep places of business and business practices to-code

at all times.
4. Members of VNSI must inform all employees of VNSI affiliation.
5. Members must either inform all employees of their workers' rights under VNSI standards, or send employees to a VNSI-approved

workers' rights training session.
6. Members must cooperate fully with VNSI inspections and audits carried out by authorized VNSI auditors.
7. Members are permitted to submit new standards or revisions to current

standards for review at any time.
8. Members must appoint a representative of their business to attend VNSI Summits and to vote on standards changes.
9. Members may not discriminate in any way against any person

having reported them to VNSI for violation(s) of standard(s), unless it can be proven that discrimination is not a result of the report being filed.
10. Members must perform at least one of the following each month:

(a) Submit one new standard for review
(b) Submit two revisions to current standards for review, or
(c) Attend a VNSI Summit.
11. Members must compensate employees for workers' rights standards violations that are able to be

proven by VNSI. Compensation amounts are to be paid directly to employees, and amounts will be determined by VNSI and may not exceed $1000.
12. VNSI must pay a weekly incentive to all members which have not violated standards or this agreement

using their proprietary formula. The formula used to calculate payouts will be kept confidential to prevent exploitation.
13. VNSI must keep all members updated regarding changes to standards affecting them.

14. VNSI must investigate all complaints filed against members, regardless of circumstance.
15. VNSI is not required to release identifying information about the person(s) reporting a violation of standards to Members.

16. VNSI must make a competent attempt to provide aid in remedying standards violations where Members are unable to do so themselves.
17. VNSI will provide financial compensation to employees, when employer is unable to pay paychecks, for up

to two payment cycles, at the full discredtion of the VNSI Audits Branch.
19a. If an inspection reveals that standards or this agreement are being violated, a follow-up inspection will occur no sooner than 48 hours later, but no later than 96

hours later.
19b. If the violation is not remedied by the follow-up inspection, the financial incentive for the current week will not be dispensed to the offending Member.

of standards or this agreement will result in a 21-day probation from membership.
19d. A third violation will result in a 70-day probation from membership.
20. VNSI Auditors must carry a VNSI-approved ID.

Auditors not carrying a valid ID can be denied entry to a Member's establishment until such time as an ID is presented, with no consequences to the Member.
21. VNSI may not approve or administer any standard without the approval of

at least 60% of voting Members, and no more than one Boardmember veto. VNSI must specify a minimum end time for voting.
22. VNSI is not, under any circumstance, required to notify a Member prior to an inspection.

23. Members may not delay or attempt to delay VNSI inspections or audits.
