Introduction
"So You're In Prison?"
------------------- So you're in prison. If this is your first time you may feel nervous, scared even. However, for many prison has simply become a routine in their lives. This facility has become

more of a home than anywhere else. That is truly the thing to be afraid of. What if I were to tell you that there is another way? A "road not taken"? It isn't too late for you to start anew and find a life that has purpose.

Step One
Identify The Issue
------------------- You may have convinced yourself that crime has become a permanent part of your life. But I assure you that it does not have to be that way. The first step to turning your life around

begins with the capability of identifying where you went wrong. Think about what landed you in prison. Not just the crime, but the chain of events that also led you to commit that crime. Were you motivated by anger? Peer pressure? Or perhaps money was

your driving incentive. Find the factor that drives you in order to pinpoint the emotion or urge that is in control. Once you find it, I want you to reflect on that feeling. The first step to a better life is identifying what has kept you in the dark.

Step Two
Turning Hate Into Purpose
------------------- Now that you know what has tethered you to a life of crime, it's time to turn that passion into something productive. Perhaps you simply love the thrill of crime. Lucky for you, there

are several in-demand jobs that require plenty of action. Granted, you must wait in order to be eligible for any government occupations. That is just one example of how you can turn something harmful into something productive. Use your passion to make a

positive impact in the world.

Step Three
Seizing Opportunity
------------------- Congratulations! The most difficult steps are out of the way. Now you know how to take what motivates you and turn it into something positive. The only thing that you must do from

here is be patient. If a government job is something that you desire, be a law-abiding citizen until you are able to make that dream come true. If not, seize whatever opportunities you can in order to be a productive member of society and gain the respect

of those around you. And remember, it's never too late to take a different path in life. You simply have to be the one to take initiative.
