ordered to do this by The Emperor, Obi Wan Knobei was told my the Queen what has happened and Knobei went after Anakin. They had a huge fight and Knobei chopped Anakin's arms also legs off, Anakin soon after burnt from the lava. R.I.P Anakin Skywalker
