Chapter 1...
The water swarmed around my ankles like bees. I noticed the light getting dimmer as the walls began to close. This was it. I had failed, I always knew I wasn't ment for this, but I was about to die for the ones I loved, the ones that are

worth something. My memory would live on. Suddenly the doors swung open, breaking the locks, and sending water rushing through the opening. I saw Jeremia, He had saved me once again.
"Come on warrior, let's go" he smiled.
I got up and squeezed my

clothing dry of water, as I followed him through the catacombs. I saw fresh bodies, of other warriors who had failed the task of pulling the lever. Thats how I wound up inside of the water-tight room. The doors had slammed behind me, and the seven rivers

began filling into the room. I was free now, and it gave me a sense of hope. We began climbing the endless flights of stairs as we seemed to find daylight in the vast blackness. The sun had somewhat, exploded with lightness as the opening showed. The

burst of light was so vibrant, it had almost blinded my naked eyes, as they were used to darkness, and had adjusted. Finally my vision came into play as we ran across the battle field. Arrows, and fragments of swords went flying through the air as my

arms found my head and quickly covered it. The other side was quite close now and I felt Jeremia's hands pull me towards the bunker. We fell in and the doors closed, eliminating the light we had just found.
" Why here?" I asked
This was the place of

birth for all of ancient Vindex. I looked around, seeing the small water cascades coming from each of the seven wall-faces. The Seven gods had created Ancient Vindex, and now were merely statues, resembling their existence. The small pool in the center of

the room was where each child was floated before entering the Nation. I felt the water, as I extended my arms towards the walls and breathed in the vaporized air. It trinkled down my sleeves and created a feeling of protection and isolation. We began to

set up our blankets for sleep.
The next morning, we awoke to a loud bang. The war had begun again, and we had not seemed to make it any farther. The rebels were growing stronger, and the Vindex army was weakening. Another day in the life of Ancient

Vindex.
Unexpectedly a guard came rushing in, he screamed, "The queen is pregnant!". Our jaws dropped at the fact, and we began heading for the castle. Us warriors had to protect the unborn child. Our journey was just beginning.

Chapter 2...
We stepped upon to the battle-field one final time before returning to the castle. Sprinting across I noticed the sunshine again. An Arrow went flying past, as I ducked it hit the soldier behind me, he said to keep going. So, reluctantly

we did. We finally made it to the castle steps, as we saw the queen there, holding her stomach. She wasn't so big, as she was only somewhat pregnant. I stood guard with Jeremia as we watched for on coming arrows and blades. With each tap upon the glass,

our barrier grew weaker, and we stood taller. Even if these were our last moments we knew we had served our Nation with great pride, and bravery. The queen sat upon her throne, with her husband close at hand. Her eyes, praying to the Seven Gods, as we

awaited the shatter. Arrows, and swords began flyng through, as the line of soldiers fended off the rebels. Broken fragments of what used to be castle walls, were now scattered upon the ground. We guided the queen to the safe house. Closing the wooden

slabs behind us, with many locks of iron, we judged our safety. The doors were now facing great difficulty as the blades flew through them as well. We took a trail to the pool of tranquility, and soon heard the Seven Cascades pounding upon the marble

floors. We entered the room with great respect, and helped the queen down the steps. She was only three months pregnant and not very large. The King sat with her upon the ground, and held her in his arms. They knew the end was coming soon.

We heard screams, and battle cries growing stronger as they moved closer. We saw the face of several rebels, as we all jumped. We fell into the pool, and went so far down that our ears began to pop. The water pressure was so high due to the deep water.

I felt a circle of iron, and began to pull it, as it slid. A secret door. Everyone thought it was just a myth, but the gods created it saying, only the strongest of warriors could open it, and not strength wise, but mentally brave. The queen followed

along with the others, as we swam through. There was a small air pocket below the hallway, and we all floated towards it. We opened our mouths for a gasp of air, and sucked in all of what seemed to be the oxygen left in there. The rebels had thought we

had drowned by now, but to our liking, they were wrong. We swam along in the small air pocket, to the side of the cave. There we found the chest with the seven souls of the gods. The queen gave me a nod, and I opened it with great difficulty. Light

flooded the room and all of Vindex Nation. The Ancient city was repaired, and all the rebels ceased existence. We noticed the queen was much larger now. We all had no idea why, so we headed back up. As we got to the surface, we looked at the date on the

gigantic sundial. 7 months had passed, one for each god's soul, and we all knew what it ment. Ancient Vindex was no longer ancient, the gods gave us a chance to start over. Suddenly the queen began to cry, as her child entered the world. They wiped him

off and held him up. Thats when the queen said these five words, and Vindex changed for good.
"We shall call him, Dragon."
