A grey blanket of clouds covered the sky, and the thin air made it hard to breathe. This was one of the few times in her life that Tanya would be able to go outside, and she was happy about that. She never liked the outdoors... infact, nobody did.

Ever since a few years ago, before anyone currently living in the village was alive, trees stopped growing, and the sun never showed it's beautiful rays of light. With these hard living conditions, everyone was forced to move somewhere safe, such as where

they live now, in an artificial "new world".
Though every few months the weakest children have to go out a fetch water for the whole village. This time around, Tanya was chosen to fetch the water.
Being outside was nearly unbearable for Tanya, and

the same went for the other children too. There was one boy who looked to be older than her by a few months. Tanya wanted to start a friendly conversation with him, but he had a gloomy look on his face, so she decided not to bother him.

When Tanya got back to the village, she poured the water into a stone fountain, where all the stored water was kept to be filtered later on.
Tanya was walking back to her home, when she saw that boy again. She got a better look at him and right away she

could tell that something was bugging him. She hesitated, but walked over to him. "What is the matter?" Asked Tanya, trying not to act bothersome. "Well, my mother is terribly sick, and my father is on a trip so i have no way of getting help" Replied the

boy, with the same gloomy look as earlier. Tanya felt bad for him, but didn't know what to do, so she just prayed for him.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Several days had passed since the conversation with the boy. She was checking the mailbox for any mail, when she

noticed a small note in the back of the mailbox. It read: "I heard your conversation with the young boy from the other day, and I may have a solution to his problem. There is a magical portal somewhere outside of your village, the location is unknown, but

I know that the location is not very far."
Tanya read over this note several times, before noticing a signature that read out "Mo". She showed others this note, hoping that someone his her village would know what it meant, but everyone else only saw a

blank peice of paper.
"Am I crazy? Am I a real Human Being? Do I really know all of these fellow villagers?" The were some of the thoughts flowing through Tanya's head. She had no idea what to do, but she did know that she had to find that protal and save

the boy's mom, even if she had to go outside. She had to face all that got in her way!
