stopped by China for 5 or 6 years. He became an ambassador in Kublai Khans China, and became close friends with him. It got to a point where Marco Polo started to learn about all the technological advancements that China had, of which he decided to bring

back to Europe. He set a date for his travels to start, and wished his friends the best of luck. Kublai Khan was so close to him, that he sent him off with treasures and valuables to serve him for the rest of his life. Some say the notorious Chintimani

stone was with him, the stone of power. He set sail, leaving China, and heding towards Pursia. When he left China, he had 13 ships and 500 men, but when he arrived in Pursia, he had 1 ship, and 12 men. He never told the story of what happened to the ships

but it is said that he may have hid them to create a secret society. What's quite interesting is how on his death bed, he said, "I did not tell half of what I saw, for no one would believe me." Maybe he found a long lost city, or maybe he encountered

monsters. We will never know what happened to the rest of Marco Polo's lost fleet, but we can speculate that it was either weather, on porpuse, or it was so grand and unbelieveable, that he dared not to tell anyone in fear of being called a liar.
