I faced the harrowing darkness, without a strong face this time. It engulfed me almost whole. As I faced it head on, with fear in my heart, I knew that, that "mystery man" he was coming back for me, I guess he just wouldn't accept defeat. I was once again

tied up, duct taped, and taken in that rusty sedan. This time the road was just as frightening, but some how less long than the first. I got out with a heavy heart, but less scared than I was before. I knew I could face this wuss, that I could beat him to

a crisp if needed.
"What do you want?" I asked first in my head, then out loud.
"I need your belongings, and things. Right now." He replied.
I thought to myself for a minute, why would he kidnap someone for only this? It made no sense, he didn't

seem desperate for money, or in such bad shape he needed it to survive. He seemed just fine.
"Why do you need my things? You seem just fine." I said in a low voice.
"Listen, I have a mass criminal who needs a large amount of money,

I can't do anything to fix it but get money by kidnapping." He said with a somber face.
"I don't get why you don't just get proof against him, and get him arrested?" I replied.

"Actually, thats a good idea." he said back choking down a laugh at

himself. So then it started, we listened in on conversations that this mass criminal had, got close to getting caught, one day it was almost like what he did...
We were listening outside the wall to the criminals "office" underground. We were looking

underneath the door, we were both laying on the floor next to the door. We watched as shadows lifted and layed across the floor, his shoes slowly coming closer to the door exit. We could hear the smallest sounds coming from him, the ruffle of his tie, the

small movements in each step that he took. He slowly opened the door we were right behind, as he walked out, he turned back and looked directly at us, squinted a bit, then walked on. It was the closest encounter I had ever had. The lights had almost went

out at that point. The rooms he had consisted of murky stone, and damp walls. The living conditions were horrible, but managable. We recorded everything while we were there. Every nook and cranny of the place we had a picture of. Then, the day came. We

walked down Seawall to the police department. Hand in hand, we were Bonnie and Clyde now, we were inseperable. As we filed the police report with our evidence, we even brought drugs from his lab to it. As we turned it in, he showed up infront of us with a

smoking pipe in his mouth and a suit and tie on. The officer at the table stood up abruptly. As he got up, he reached into his pocket for cuffs, and his tazer, this criminal, was going to jail he told us. We both let out a sigh of releif, and then decided

.... maybe its time for a new chapter in our lives. We walked over down the street with full hearts, and happy faces. We were going to be officers.

TO BE CONTINUED
This book was slightly less suspenseful than the last, it is focused more on romance and
