1. INTRODUCTION

This is the guide for the firefighter test, found at Alpha Fire Station (711 64 -677). Firefighters are emergency responders in Vindex Nation; firefighters extinguish fires across the country and rescue

neglected and/or abused animals.

You must be 1 week crime free to be a firefighter!

A firefighter is a government job, so you cannot commit crimes within your post! Other punitive damages include:

- Unprofessionalism
- Disrespect
- Leaking 911 Broadast
- Insubordination
- Incapable of duty: failure to respond to fires etc.

As a firefighter, you will be alerted of fires in two ways: through fire alarms and through reports

from dispatch or a citizen. The former may look like:

A fire has started at: 341, 60, -499, sound the alarms!

The latter can be found in 911 Broadcast or global.

911 Broadcast is the

communication service used by emergency service and law enforcement officers: this includes firefighters and EMTs.
You may access the broadcast with the command /911b. A callsign is also needed for the broadcast- this is to be assigned to you

be a senior management member.

Finally, extinguishers can be found at the fire station. They can be bought for $50 each. Abusing extinguishers is against department policy- this includes extinguishing fire places!

RADIO CODES

Radio codes are codes in which are used to communicate something. The following are some radio codes you need to know as a firefighter:

The Vindex Fire Department is lead by the Fire Commissioner. Two branches fall under the fire department: the EMS

The EMS branch is led by the EMS Chief,

whilst the Fire branch is lead by the Fire Chief. As a firefighter, you fall under the Fire Chief. Under the Chief falls the Deputy Chief.

Moreover, the Fire Department falls under the Department of Health and Human
Services, lead by its Secretary.

5. PROCEDURE

When responding to fires...

We use 911 Broadcast to communicate and state the status of the situation.

This is a general example of a response to a fire:

A fire has started at: 341, 60, -499, sound the alarms!

/911b [HJ-##] 10-17
Warps to fire station, spawns fire engine from car sign and drives to fire
/911b [HJ-##] 10-23
Now arrived at scene, ready to extinguish any fires and secure
the scene

/911b [HJ-##] Fire cleared; # casualties
Fire is now cleared, stating how many casualities happened on scene.

This is just a general example of a fire response. You will be expected to work with EMTs in a real scenario.

Using shotgun procedure...

Shotgun procedure is the collaborative procedure used in responding to fires.

>

In a fire engine:
- The lowest ranking individual is the driver.
- The higher ranking
individual is 'shotgun'

The driver drives to the scene and extinguishes the fire, whilst the shotgun submits the radio codes within 911b and secures the scene.

When rescuing animals...

You must be certified to do so. Animals are to be rescued, transported by fire engines and deposited at the animal rescue center.
