The Fire Commissioner leads the VFD as a whole. The Fire Chief leads fire fighters and is responsible for the Fire Deputy and Trainers.

Requirements to join

To become a Fire Fighter, you must have 1 week of nothing on your criminal record. If you join the VFD and are not one week crime free, you will receive a suspension for however long until you are crime free.

What is a FF?

Fire Fighters provide emergency services to locations that are on fire. They are to quickly and effectively locate, travel to, and extinguish fires in various locations around Vindex Nation.

911 Broadcast
-
911 broadcast is for the Vindex Police Department and the Vindex Fire Department to communicate. To access and communicate in 911b, you will do the command /911b. 911b is used ONLY for emergencies, no casual conversation.

Before communicating in 911 broadcast, you must be assigned a callsign by a VFDL member. You are to use your callsign before anything you say in the channel.

Information
Fire Fighters have a special piece of equipment, the fire extinguisher. This can be obtained via the command /extinguisher.
To use the extinguisher, simply right click while holding it in the direction of the fire.

The fire extinguisher should never be used if there is not a fire.
Fire Fighters also get access to the Fire Truck vehicle. This should only be used when responding to fires and other emergencies, not as a personal mode of transport.

Probationary through Commander are obtained through rankup time, viewable through /rankup check. VFD Trainer, Fire Deputy, and Fire Chief can only be obtained through appointment. There is only one Fire Deputy and only one Fire Chief.
